1. Problem: We Were Looking for B2B Collaboration, But How?

As Momyachting Bodrum, our biggest challenge was B2B collaborations. VIP transfer companies, tour operators, wedding organizers… We needed to get in touch with these companies, but we didn’t have a serious budget.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator costs $100+/month, Google Ads is inefficient for B2B, and going to trade fairs requires both time and money. As a small business, covering these expenses wasn’t feasible.

2. The “Open Data” Advantage: Starting with Hunter.io

My first attempt was Hunter.io. The logic is simple: enter a company’s domain, and it returns professional email addresses of people working at that company. Not just generic emails like info@, sales@, but also personal emails like ahmet.yilmaz@.

What worked:

  • Direct access to sales departments of big operators like Jolly Tur, Setur
  • Average 3-5 valid contacts per domain
  • Emails with 60%+ confidence score = low bounce rate

But there was a limit: Free account, 50 searches/month. That ran out in 5 days.


3. “Hack” Time: Pattern-Based Email Generation

There were smaller but more valuable local companies not on Hunter.io. VIP transfer companies in Bodrum, boutique travel agencies in Marmaris… I needed to predict their email addresses.

The logic: 80% of Turkish companies use standard email patterns:

I wrote 8 different possible emails for each domain. I don’t even check if they’re correct — I add them directly to my email service (Resend). If invalid, they bounce anyway; if the system works, I reach them.

The beauty of this method: zero validation cost. Resend handles bounce management, I just grow the list.


4. Automation: “Set It and Forget It”

The manual process was exhausting. At first, it took 2 hours of my time every day: find domain, find email, copy, paste into Resend… It didn’t scale.

Numbers:

  • Time: Initial setup 4 hours, then 0 hours (automated)
  • Leads: 75 in the first week, 500+ total now
  • Bounce rate: Under 5% (patterns work)

A week ago, I could find 10 leads manually in 2 hours. Now, 40 leads are added while I sleep. Calculate the difference.


6. Who Can Apply This?

This method is ideal for:

  • Local service industries (transfer, tourism, events)
  • Small/medium businesses looking for B2B collaboration
  • Startups with limited marketing budgets
  • Sales-focused agencies

Where it won’t work:

  • Enterprise (big company emails are unpredictable)
  • Heavily regulated industries (finance, legal)
  • Multinational companies (different email structures)

This is important — to avoid looking like a spammer.

We use these emails not for mass spam, but for B2B collaboration offers. Every email is personalized and industry-appropriate. For example, we write to a VIP transfer company “would you recommend yacht chartering to your customers?” not “buy now.”

GDPR/KVKK note: Cold email for B2B collaboration is generally in a legal gray area, but an unsubscribe option must be present. Resend handles this automatically.
